Job Description
Bryn Mawr Trust, a WSFS Company, provides locally managed and collaborative wealth management solutions, including a broad array of planning and advisory services, investment management, trust and estate planning, brokerage and investment services to individual, corporate, and institutional clients through multiple integrated businesses.
The Business Transformation Specialist will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing business processes across all Wealth lines of business. The ideal candidate will leverage process improvement methodologies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce risk, and improve client experience through technology implementation and development. The incumbent will be pivotal in representing the Wealth division to other operational areas of the bank as well as internal and external regulators. In addition, the incumbent will work closely with Senior Leadership, Client-Facing Advisors, Business Analysts, Process Analysts, and internal and external regulatory/governing bodies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Engage with business leaders to drive Wealth’s process improvement and technology agenda, including the implementation of key technologies and applications.
- Monitor, investigate, and report breaches in system performance or quality, immediately addressing any day-to-day issues regarding data transmissions to internal systems or 3rd party applications that impact the accuracy of data across systems utilized by internal Associates and Clients.
- Partner with internal technology team(s) and 3rd party vendor support team(s) to resolve issues with a sense of urgency.
- Learn low code tools such as Alteryx and/or Microsoft Power Platform to design and implement tactical process improvement solutions.
- Diagnose, implement, and support process improvement initiatives, independently and collaboratively, including new vendor onboarding, regular system upgrades, and system conversions, to deliver increased quality and productivity.
- Advocate high-quality business practices for efficiency and compliance and support the delivery of an industry leading client experience.
- Own and manage updates to all Wealth procedures with support from the Business Transformation Team.
- Create detailed process maps, workflows, and data flow diagrams to visualize procedures.
- Play a key role in supporting internal and external audits/exams by tracking deliverables, managing documentation, and ensuring professional, timely, and factually correct responses to regulatory requests.
- Develop and implement new procedures necessitated by regulatory audit findings and/or internal process improvement initiatives.
- Teach, mentor, and support colleagues through process or procedural change by facilitating workshops and training sessions to ensure adoption of new processes.
- Support the establishment, advancement, and effectiveness of a data governance model across Wealth. Partner with info technology teams and data teams to integrate process improvements with technology solutions to keep Wealth data clean.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is required. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a professional financial services or Wealth institution.
- 3+ years of previous experience communicating with internal and external regulators of a financial institution.
- 3+ years of previous experience using SEI Wealth Platform (SWP) or another core trust accounting platform to support the administration of trust accounts, agency accounts, and externally managed accounts.
- Must have strong analytical skills, and excellent problem-solving/critical thinking skills.
- Must have the ability to review and analyze existing processes and recommend changes that will permit the team to remain operationally efficient, while preparing for future growth.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to listen to others.
- Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and have expertise in excel including the ability to compare data across multiple spreadsheets and produce pivot tables.
- Ability to learn low code tools such as Alteryx and/or Microsoft Power BI. Previous experience is a plus.
- Proven record of building strong relationships with senior and junior associates.
- Excellent oral and written presentation skills.
Salary Range:
$75,502.00 - $124,039.00Individual base pay may vary on additional factors such as the candidate’s experience, job-related skills, relevant education, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.
