Job Description
Summary:
The Director of Sales-Vendor position will be help lead the effort formulating and implementing NewLane Finance’s strategic plan and business platform with respect to the sales channel. This channel focuses on establishing financing relationships and programs with vendors across Various equipment vertical industry segments. This individual will have leadership and management responsibility for a sales team of 8-10 reps. This individual will be responsible for creating a winning sales team consistent with the values of the organization and the stated goals of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with other NewLane leaders to further develop and direct the company’s sales platform, strategies and tactics to assure alignment with NewLane’s short-term and long-term SBU origination growth, profitability and service goals and objectives.
- Work to further develop the skills, knowledge and capabilities of the sales reps to accelerate their ability to consistently achieve their expected production goals.
- Enhance the SBU sales playbook to align with the long-term sales growth and profitability objectives of the company.
- Work closely with Marketing to identify and implement effective marketing strategies, campaigns and tactics to support the efforts of the sales reps.
- Foster a collaborative and motivated sales environment.
- Provide day-to-day leadership to sales reps.
- Develop and implement plans and strategies to achieve volume quotas, account development goals etc.
- Work closely with other NewLane leaders to solve cross-functional issues and strive to achieve overall organizational success.
- Participate in the development of plans, budgets and forecasts for the channel.
- Evaluate the sales team; implement personal development plans.
Qualifications:
- Skilled at building rapport, opening doors, and understanding business requirements of senior decision makers along with strong negotiation skills.
- Experience managing key customer relationships and closing strategic opportunities.
- Significant and successful experience designing, implementing and utilizing CRM (Salesforce) and other Sales Enablement tools to manage team’s sales tasks, pipelines and closing data.
- Ability to influence, manage, optimize and identify opportunities.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other leaders toward developing plans, strategies and initiatives to achieve NewLane’s growth and profit goals.
- Bachelor’s degree required in related field.
- Seven plus years’ experience in an equipment lease selling environment.
- Successful experience monitoring and evaluating sales representatives progress against expectations, in addition to aligning and changing behavior with performance expectations.
- Effectiveness coaching/mentoring/training sales representatives and sales managers to achieve higher performance.
- Demonstrated ability in all aspects of sales leadership.
Salary Range:
$108,722.00 - $178,616.75Individual base pay may vary on additional factors such as the candidate’s experience, job-related skills, relevant education, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.
