At WSFS, our community is at the heart of everything we do. The Community Impact Manager is integral to ensuring that the Community Impact team is making a meaningful impact and delivering on its commitments to the community. The incumbent will work closely with our nonprofit partners to measure progress, foster deeper connections, and identify new opportunities for collaboration. In addition, the Community Impact Manager will play a critical role in driving change that aligns with WSFS’ mission and strategy: We Stand for Service.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a scorecard system to track and measure the performance of philanthropic contributions against agreed upon outcomes with nonprofit partners.
- Provides feedback and support in selection of appropriate measurable goals.
- Schedule and conduct in-person visits with community groups to provide support, check on progress, and gather feedback to measure how they are performing against agreed upon metrics of success.
- Share feedback and advice regarding trends and opportunities we are seeing within the nonprofit space that can add value for our nonprofit partners.
- Assist in the evaluation and recommendations to allocate corporate and Foundation resources to support grants and sponsorship requests.
- Research best practices and new developments in nonprofit sector, including evidence-based programming in other communities.
- Develops knowledge and interfaces with other community data and needs assessments.
- Refer community partners to additional WSFS lines of business to help build stronger financial relationships and support for the organizations we partner with.
- Support the Director of Community Strategy in identifying and cultivating partnerships with organizations that align with WSFS’s focus areas, creating impactful, long-term collaborations.
- Identify opportunities for nonprofit groups to partner/collaborate to address specific projects or community needs.
- Regularly attend community events and serve as an ambassador to WSFS in the community.
- Understands constraints and assists in turning challenges into opportunities.
- Coach and mentor community partners through constructive feedback.
- Provides technical assistance and evaluations.
- Assist in tracking performance of the WSFS CARES Foundation and Corporate Contributions budget relative to the annual financial plan to maximize the impact of our resources.
- Maintain an updated view of multi-year contributions and what percentage these dollars represent of our future giving.
- Partner with the Community Reinvestment team to administer the EITC (Educational Improvement Tax Credit) and NAP (Neighborhood Assistance Program) tax credit programs, ensuring they benefit communities in meaningful ways.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in community engagement, program management, impact measurement, or a related field.
- Previous experience in positions requiring a high level of analytical skills to conduct analysis and prepare/interpret reports is required.
- Must have strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to measure and report on program outcomes effectively.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build lasting relationships with community partners.
- Must have the ability to manage budgets and ensure resources are allocated efficiently.
- Must have a passion for creating connections and driving meaningful change in local communities.
- Must have the ability to distill complex information and ask insightful and provocative questions.
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate with management and staff both in written and verbal communications.
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications.
