The Benefits and Leave Coordinator will assist in all aspects of the day-to-day administration of the Bank’s Short-Term Disability (STD), Family Medical Leave (FMLA), American Disability Act (ADA), Worker’s compensation, and other benefits
Job Responsibilities: Assist associates in the administration of their Short-Term Disability (STD), Family Medical Leave (FMLA), and American Disability Act (ADA)
In-depth knowledge of regulations related to FMLA, ADA, STD, and State leave laws
Ability to manage high volume, inbound calls, multiple tasks, multiple priorities, with frequent interruptions
Keep records of all call conversations in leave system in a comprehensible way
Research and resolve discrepancies between associates and leave request
Maintain leave of absence documentation, files and data
Reviews file notes and explain leave process to associates and managers Compiles employee data and submits information regarding any state leave
Monitors and tracks leave of absences and follows up on required paperwork such as medical certification, request for extended leave, and other required information
Works with Business Line Human Resources, and Benefit Team keeping them informed of any employee’s leave of absence
Regular and reliable attendance Assists employees with benefits enrollment questions, new hire enrollment, open enrollment Provide ongoing support for HR, and Benefits team Ensure company benefits policy is compliant with set laws, and regulations Process all Tuition Reimbursements Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of experience administering leave of absence
Working knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements related to leave of absence, including Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and any state regulations
Strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening
Excellent organizational skills
Detail orientation with ability to analyze, problem solve, organize and manage multiple priorities and excellent follow up skills in a fast-paced environment Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Ability to work well in a fast-paced, stressful, dynamic environment
Ability to multitask is essential Must have a minimum of 2 years customer service experience
Must have Microsoft Office experience
Must be friendly, outgoing and creative
Must have FMLA experience
Experience with STD, COBRA, and ADA a plus
Experience with open enrollment, and benefits changes; life events, COBRA Familiarity with benefits, and payroll software WSFS Bank is inclusive and supportive of individual needs
