The Senior Business Systems Analyst will have expertise in writing integration and data flow requirements within both Agile and Waterfall project frameworks. This role will be key in bridging business needs with technology solutions, improving operational efficiency, and driving innovation. The Senior Business Systems Analyst will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to deliver effective IT solutions that align with business objectives. Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications suitable for both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Gather business requirements, create functional specifications, and design solutions in collaboration with the IT team that align with business objectives.
- Analyze existing systems and processes, recommending technical directions that align with the technology roadmap.
- Merge technical concepts with business processes to enhance system design and performance.
- Develop data mappings, schema structures, and manage system dependencies.
- Create detailed system specifications, workflows, and user/technical interface designs.
- Write integration and data flow requirements for both Agile and Waterfall frameworks, ensuring alignment with business and technical needs.
- Utilize the appropriate tools for managing work items (Epics, Features, and User Stories), ensuring clear acceptance criteria and effective tracking.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives to support Agile execution, or assist with requirement definition and traceability matrix for Waterfall.
- Assist with testing to ensure systems meet specified requirements, addressing defects promptly.
- Work with QA teams to validate business logic and ensure system behavior aligns with business objectives.
- Oversee the implementation of technical project requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals and the overall technology strategy.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure the seamless deployment and integration of systems.
- Assist in managing user story creation for release cycles and understand their impact to ensure smooth deployments and optimize release management processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, focusing on system integrations, data flow requirements. Banking and/or financial services industry experience is preferred.
- Experience with Mulesoft integrations is preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce is preferred.
- Must have robust experience with Azure DevOps for managing work items, backlogs, and supporting Agile project execution.
- Experience working with both Agile and Waterfall frameworks.
- Must have experience with data mapping, data transformation, and integrating various data sources.
- Must have strong SQL skills for data validation and analysis.
- Must be proficient in SDLC and project management methodologies.
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Must have excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Must have the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure alignment between business needs and IT solutions.
- Familiarity with Copado and JIRA is a plus.
- Relevant certifications such as IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysis) or PMI (Project Management Institute) is preferred.
- Experience with monitoring system performance and troubleshooting post-implementation is preferred.
