The Operations Specialist is responsible for reviewing and processing the external account enrollment verification report (R-00400), and processing of Hold Harmless requests for customer originated ACH transactions through Business Online Banking and Wire Transfers related to non-bank errors. The incumbent will process disputed Cashier Checks following the MoneyGram defined procedures. In addition, the incumbent will back up the Zelle Specialist & Dispute Specialists positions, as needed.
Job responsibilities:
- Logs and reviews the external account enrollment verification report (R-00400) to identify unusual activity, including but not limited to, taking the necessary actions to minimize unauthorized activity and follow up to ensure timely processing.
- Prepares and tracks Hold Harmless requests for customer initiated ACH transactions through Business Online Banking and Wire Transfers related to non-bank errors.
- Prepares and tracks disputed Cashier Checks following the MoneyGram defined procedures.
- Submits Unusual Activity Referrals to the Fraud Department per defined guidelines.
- Takes ownership of each Client interaction while treating Clients with respect and responding with empathy
- Assists with duties of team members as required during absences within the department.
- Assists with special projects/initiatives as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of one year Banking Operations experience, preferred.
- A minimum of one year customer service experience, preferred.
- Some technical experience is required.
- Superior customer service skills are required.
- Detailed oriented; good organizational skills; and good written and verbal communications skills.
- Understanding of the importance of meeting deadlines.
- Must have the ability to work in a team environment and maintain control when handling various situations that may arise in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have the ability to work independently to resolve issues.
- Introductory to Intermediate level working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Teams
- Understanding of Regulation CC, Regulation E, and P2P payments preferred.
