The Insurance Analyst will support the Corporate Insurance Manager in effectively and efficiently managing the Insurance department. This role is integral to ensuring that the Organization’s insurance needs are aligned with overall risk management practices, industry standards and regulations. The Insurance Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Legal, Risk, Compliance, Human Resources, and Finance to ensure that the Organization’s assets (tangible and intangible), operations, and liabilities are properly covered.

Job responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and oversee internal reporting and tracking system for all General Liability, Auto and Property incidents to increase efficiency and streamline process.
  • Oversee the claims process from initiation to resolution, working closely with insurance adjusters, legal teams, and internal departments.
  • Ensure timely and accurate claims reporting, investigation, and settlement where applicable.
  • Prepare and present reports on insurance program status, claims, and risk exposure for senior leadership when requested.
  • Support Corporate Insurance Manager with collection and validation of underwriting exposure information for insurance renewals and new placements.
  • Core insurance lines will include Executive, Crime, Cyber, Property and Casualty, Forced Placed and Foreclosure, and other lines where applicable.
  • Update insurance schedules where needed throughout the policy period to ensure coverage reflects organization changes in exposure(s).
  • Review contracts or agreements for third-party insurance limit requirements, assist with insurance term negotiations, if applicable.
  • Manage certificates of insurance request for request and renewal cycles.
  • Work with Accounts Payable on invoices for submission and validation of insurance related cost: premiums, settlements, audits, etc.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis on request.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance, risk management, or related fields, preferably within the banking, finance, or corporate insurance industry.
  • Advanced certifications such as CRM (Certified Risk Manager), CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter), or ARM (Associate in Risk Management) are a plus but not required.
  • Experience with Third Party Insurance negotiations and contract review a plus but not required.
  • Must have experience developing and implementing internal policies and practices across organization with employees greater than 2K.
  • Must have proven experience with insurance policies (commercial lines), claims management, and risk assessment.
  • Must have a background in Incident Tracking, Management and Response programs as internal subject matter expert.
  • Must have familiarity with complex insurance structures.
  • Substantial knowledge of Property and Casualty insurance and policy terms. Knowledge of Executive, Crime and Cyber lines a plus but not required.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, proficient with Microsoft Office products, internet research and typing.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and organization skills.
  • Must have the ability to accurately and timely analyze coverage and collaborate with internal and external parties regarding claim and conflict resolution.
  • Must have excellent critical and strategic thinking skills and the ability to make quick decisions when needed.
