The Director of Home Lending will play a vital role within the WSFS Home Lending team, which includes the origination, selling and servicing of Mortgage Loans and Home Equity Loans. The incumbent will be responsible for leading and developing the next phase of WSFS Home Lending’s strategic, financial, and operational growth. In addition, the incumbent will provide thought leadership and strategic thinking while introducing process optimization, procedural diligence, and digital technologies that can leverage for scale.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee budgets, staff and performance and regularly evaluate the success of the business through metrics and KPIs.
  • Oversee loan production and loan administration with focus on leveraging data to ensure efficient workflow, strong credit quality, and continued high customer satisfaction levels.
  • Assess operational effectiveness of programs, processes, and procedures; introduce industry-wide best practices.
  • Drive sales growth by developing long-term, trusted relationships, and credibility with key external business and industry partners/leaders throughout expanded footprint.
  • Develop forward-looking predictive financial analysis to ensure advanced access to information and forecast implications quickly and thoughtfully.
  • Stay abreast of short-term and long-range industry and economic trends and projected impact on future growth in sales.
  • Bring creativity and passion to the organization and identify opportunities for expansion into new service areas.
  • Partner with Technology and Data Transformation teams to ensure full adoption of new technology enhancements, including automation and digital capabilities.
  • Evaluate incentive compensation plans with focus on rewarding value-added performance consistent with WSFS Mortgage’s strategies and goals
  • Partner with WSFS Marketing to further develop marketing and branding initiatives consistent with strategic focus across all products and services, driving customer loyalty and overall wallet share.
  • Coordinate the due diligence, negotiations, and integration of external partner and/or vendor relationships.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or a related field. Master’s degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • 10+ years of financial services experience across a wide range of roles (ex. Operational, Sales, Leadership positions).
  • Mortgage experience preferred.
  • Innovative and entrepreneurial mindset, motivational abilities, and the ability to drive culture and engagement that finds and retains talented employees.
  • Adaptive leadership to successfully manage through ambiguity and rapid changes.
  • Strategic and innovative approaches to business planning, budgeting and management along with a sound understanding of best business practices.
  • Effective prioritization, clear accountability, and the ability to make decisions within tight timeframes across multiple high priority projects.
  • Outstanding leadership ability as well as excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong process orientation (can manage large scale projects).
  • Ability to work effectively with the CEO, Board of Directors, and Executive Team.
  • Executive presence, can lead through influence and expertise to drive strategic agenda
  • A working proficiency in compliance laws and regulations, including Reg Z, B, X (RESPA), TRID and ECOA
  • Experience in preparing and managing an annual budget.

Salary Range:

$156,562.00 - $257,207.50

Individual base pay may vary on additional factors such as the candidate’s experience, job-related skills, relevant education, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.

In addition to base salary, WSFS Financial Corporation (WSFS) and its subsidiaries may offer eligible Associates discretionary and formula-based incentive and retention awards.
