The Director of Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Management will lead the credit support function, widely responsible for ensuring high-quality, consistent, and timely credit underwriting and portfolio servicing across the Commercial Division. This role will oversee support teams, including Portfolio Managers and Credit Analysts aligned by market or client segment. Additionally, the incumbent will enable scalable staffing, workload balancing, and talent development while partnering with the Director of Commercial Real Estate and other team leaders in setting strategic priorities related to growth, capital allocation and product mix.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the division’s credit support functions, including any team leads or market coordinators.
  • Develop and maintain standardized processes, templates, and service level expectations across the portfolio support organization.
  • Partner closely with the Director of Commercial Real Estate and credit leadership to align on transaction execution, credit policy adherence, and portfolio management.
  • Monitor staffing levels, productivity, and workflow allocation to ensure efficient execution and optimal turnaround times.
  • Own training, development, and succession planning for all credit support team members.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to credit memo quality, covenant monitoring, portfolio reviews, renewals, and tickler compliance.
  • Serve as the point of escalation for complex credit support issues, partnering with Credit Officers as needed.
  • Travel required to surrounding areas within the WSFS Bank footprint.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree, preferably in a business related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in commercial real estate credit or portfolio management.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a regulated banking environment.
  • Must be able to maintain active dialogue with fellow Commercial Division associates such as RMs, PMs, Credit Analysts, Credit Administrators, Portfolio Administrators, Commercial Loan Operations, and other functional areas within the Bank.
  • Strong leadership, influencing and relationship management skills
  • Strong knowledge of CRE underwriting, risk rating models, and loan documentation processes.
  • Proven ability to implement process improvements, manage large teams, and balance risk and efficiency.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as excellent presentation skills.
  • Salesforce, Microsoft 365, and nCino experience preferred.

Salary Range:

$156,562.00 - $257,207.50

Individual base pay may vary on additional factors such as the candidate’s experience, job-related skills, relevant education, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.
